Obuasi Municipal Assembly Donates Mono Desks to Obuasi Sec Tech

Obuasi, March 22, GNA - The Obuasi Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Joh= n Alexander Ackon, has said that the infrastructural development going on at Obuasi Senior High Technical School should motivate the students to improve their performance in examinations. Mr Ackon, who made the call whiles presenting 500 mono desks to the school, said 93we are conscious of the fact that you need both the assembl= y and dining halls and we are putting in these efforts to urge the school to perform better at the WASSCE".

The desks were purchased by the assembly at the cost of GH¢20,000.00. "We want the school to perform in the category of hundred percent"= , he said adding 93as an old student, I have an interest in the school". Mr Ackon said that the assembly was striving for the establishment of a tertiary institution in the area but that would depend on the performance o= f the Senior High Schools in the municipality.

The Municipal Director of Education, Mr Johnny Owusu-Boadi, urged the students to learn hard to make their parents proud. He commended the government and the assembly for the number of project= s being carried out in both the Senior High Technical and Christ the King Catholic Senior High Schools in the municipality. Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Akomea, the headmaster who received the desks, promised that the school would take good care of them.
