Nkoranza MP tours communities

Akumsa-Domase (B/A), Sept. 10, GNA- Mr Hayford Francis Amoako, MP for Nkoranza has advised eligible people in the constituency to register when the voters' register opens to enable them to exercise their franchise during the 2004 elections.

Mr Amoako was addressing the communities at Breman and Akumsa Domase as part of his tour to educate the people on the proceedings of Parliament.

He explained that the provision of voters' photographs on their identification cards will help check impersonation during the elections. Mr Amoako urged the people to bury their political differences and forge ahead in unity to promote the development of the district. "We should not allow the peace we are enjoying in Ghana to be marred by disputes and crisis," Mr Amoako added.

The Chief of Akumsa-Domase, Nana Kwabena Osei, commended the MP for visiting the community to interact with them and to educate them on current issues about the state.

At Breman, the MP promised to provide he people with street bulbs and roofing sheets out of his share of the common fund to support on-going development projects in the area. 10 Sept. 03
