Nine registered candidates disallowed to write the BECE

Nine registered candidates of the Ebenezer Preparatory/JSS at Nkawkaw were on Monday prevented by the School Authorities to enter the examination hall at Nkawkaw Secondary School to write the BECE.

The candidates are, Abankwa Andrews, Agyepong Mercy, Ahenkora Theresa, Anim Maxwell, Seiwaah Comfort, Obeng Nyarkoah Auguster, Barden Juliet, Oteng Agyei Sandra and Tawia Samuel.

According to the Headmaster of the school, Mr Emmanuel Kwabena Gyemah, the candidates failed to attend regular classes after they have been registered and added that, their conduct would affect results of the school's performances at the BECE.

The headmaster said this when the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Raymond Osafo Djan visited some of the examination centres.

Mr Gyemah said he wrote to inform the Chief Examiner at the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Accra, the District Director of Education and the Supervisors of the BECE at the examination centre about the withdrawal of the candidates from writing the examination.
