The Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly is constructing a three-classroom block valued at GHc150,000.00 for the pupils of Pologo Primary School.

The classroom block would replace trees serving as classrooms for the Pologo Community.

The building, housing an office, a store, a urinal and a toilet, is being funded with proceeds from the Assembly’s Common Fund.

The classrooms would be fitted with fans.

Mr Saeed Ibrahim Bomporimbu, an official of ILSA Enterprise, the construction company working on the project, told the Ghana News Agency that the project which started in March, and is expected to be completed in July, is almost complete.

Mr Bomporimbu commended the traditional authorities in the area for releasing land to the Assembly for the construction of the school.

Mr Edward Ayagle, the Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive, said the project was part of the Government’s efforts to end the situation where trees served as classrooms.
