New PNC executive for Gukpegu/Sabonjida

Tamale, Jan 12, GNA- Mr Iddrisu Andani Mu-Azu, Northern Regional Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC) has said the electorate in the north had now become "wise" in terms of voting for the right party, and expressed confidence of PNC victory in the general elections.

He was addressing party members after the election of a new executive of the PNC for Gukpegu/Sabonjida constituency in Tamale on Saturday. Mr Mu-Azu said: "The NPP government has made mockery of the unemployed in Ghana by deceiving them to embark on a mass registration for employment that looks elusive."

"I challenge the government to come out boldly and tell Ghanaians the number of youth it has employed since it assumed office." The Regional Secretary urged the new executive to reach out to the rural communities to campaign for the PNC to win the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Mr Mohammed Saaka was elected as chairman and Mr Amuda Kasim as the vice-chairman.

Secretary went to Mr Yakubu Yussif while Abdul Malik Mohammed was elected assistant secretary.

Mr. Zakaria Alhassan and Mr Abdulai Baba were elected treasurer and organiser respectively, Madam Wazila Kpaa, women's organizer, Mr Yahaya Fuseini, youth organiser while Mr Abubakari Iddrisu was chosen as the father of the constituency.
