New Akwamuhene for Kusi

Akyem Kusi Nov.24 GNA- Mr Kwadwo Ahenkora, a 53-year-old Belgium based Ghanaian was last Thursday installed the Akwamuhene of Akyem Kusi under the stool name, Nana Kwadwo Ahenkora Amponsah. He swore the oath allegiance to Nana Akese Appiah the second, chief of Akyem Kusi.

Nana Amponsah called for unity among the people at all times as a prerequisite for development.

He pledged his commitment to co-operate with the other chiefs to mobilise the people to develop the town through communal labour. The Akwamuhene said his other priority would be to intensify education on the HIV/AIDS pandemic to help minimise the rate of infection in the area.

Nana Appiah later advised the Akwamuhene to use his contacts abroad to seek assistance from foreign donors towards the speedy development of the town.
