The New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Akuapim North (Akropong) in the Eastern Region Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah Adjei on Saturday 19th March and Sunday 20th March, 2016 made a series of donations to constituents who were badly affected by the rainstorm which swept through the constituency on Monday 14th March, 2016.

The town which was hit most by the floods was “Yensiso” a town in the lower hills of the constituency.

After the rainstorm, homes and school buildings had been badly damaged, with some losing their roofing sheets and others losing their property and clothes.

Some families lost all their belongings and were left with nothing to wear. The sorry state of the community touched the parliamentary candidate who in less than a week managed to put together several bales of clothes and roofing sheets which is estimated to cost over GH?8, 000.00 to help alleviate the plight those who were affected.

In a related development, she also redeemed a pledge she made to the Mampong Anglican church on Sunday March 19, 2016 which pledge was made over three weeks ago, when she attended a funeral at the church in the company of former President John A. Kuffuor.

The church previously had no generator which meant that each time the lights went out, church service came to a halt. She was moved to make the pledge when she was made aware of the situation and presented them with a brand new generator set and three brand new chairs for the church elders.

Below are pictures of the various donations.
