Nana Akufo-Addo supports woman with artificial limb

Okanta (E/R), April 19, GNA - The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for Abuakwa, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has presented cheques and building materials totalling over 11 million cedis from his MP's share of the Common Fund to support individuals and communities in his constituency.

The beneficiaries include Madam Martha Ohenewaa of Okanta, who was presented with a cheque for two million cedis for the acquisition of an artificial limb to replace her left limb, which was amputated after a motor accident some 33 years ago.

The cheque was presented on behalf of Nana Akufo-Addo to Madam Ohenewaa, 50, at Okanta by the former Abuakwa Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Douglas Martin Asare on Friday. Receiving the cheque, Madam Ohenewaa thanked God for the presentation and prayed for God's blessings for the MP and the New Patriotic Party.

Nana Akufo-Addo also presented 70 bags of cement and three packets of roofing sheets estimated at six million cedis to the chiefs and people of Akyem Asikam and Wirenkyiren Amanfrom for the construction of markets.

He also presented a cheque for 2.4 million cedis to the Muslim Community of Akyem Odumase to support their development projects.
