Namong SHS create space for expected first year students

Offinso (Ash), March 15, GNA - The Namong Senior High School (SHS) in th= e Offinso Municipality has built a five-unit classroom block to create spac= e for fresh students expected next academic year.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Offinso-South, Mr. Ben Abdallah, supported the GH¢50,000.00 project with 50 bags of cement and 10 bundle= s of roofing sheets. Mr. Richmond Edward Carl Amoah, the Headmaster, was hosting UNI-JAY=

Fashion Designing Company in Kumasi which had presented 200 bags of cemen= t to the school towards the construction of an additional 12-unit classroom=

block.

The Headmaster said the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) was also fundin= g the expansion of the girls' dormitory in readiness for the increased enrolment. Mr. Amoah was grateful to the Company for the donation and appealed to other organizations and individuals to emulate.

Mr. Elias Owusu-Ansah, Accountant of the Company, said the donation was made to affirm the long standing relationship between the school and the company.

He said UNI-JAY was determined to contribute its quota towards the development of education. Meanwhile, the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) is constructing a two-story boy's dormitory block for the school.
