NPP starts 2016 campaign

The Opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region has started its campaign for the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Chairman of the party in the region, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka ‘Wontumi,’ stated that the early campaign would secure victory for the party.

He therefore tasked every loyal member of the NPP to spread its good policies and programmes to develop Ghana to the electorate.

Wontumi declared the commencement of the campaign during a unity party of the Ashanti Regional NPP held in Kumasi some few days ago.

A decision of Wontumi and Dr. Amoako Tuffuor, the unity party was intended to heal wounds in the party to make it stronger for the 2016 general elections.

Chairman Wontumi said it was the duty of every NPP loyalist to work to attract new members ahead of the next polls.

Politics, he noted, is about numbers therefore the NPP members should make it their duty to woo more members into the party.

Everything, he said, pointed to the fact that the NPP would win the 2016 elections, saying the NPP doesn’t want to be complacent, hence the early campaign.

He said the party would campaign vigorously from now till 2016.

He predicted a landslide victory for the NPP, noting that the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC’s) days in political office were numbered.

Wontumi said Ghanaians were fed up with the hardship they had been encountering, created by President John Mahama’s NDC administration “and they will vote the NDC out in 2016.”

Using the Holy Bible as reference point, he said the NPP would defeat the NDC just as David defeated Goliath.
