NGO pays registration fee for 1,660 BECE candidates in Jomoro

A non-governmental organisation in the Jomoro District, Sayi Foundation, has donated 19,000 Ghana cedis for payment of registration fees for 1,660 BECE candidates in the district

Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, wife of the Vice President, presented the amount to Mr Abraham Yankson, the Jomoro District Examinations Officer.

MrsAmissah-Arthur said both the NGO and government had common objectives on education delivery in the country hence the presentation.

She appealed to parents and guardians to take advantage of the numerous educational interventions by the government to educate their children and wards.

The Chief Executive Officer of the NGO, Mr David Pritipi, said the amount covers the registration fees of all the candidates from the 67 public and private JSS in the district who are to take their final examination next year.
