Muslims urged to ensure peace and unity among themselves

Nkawkaw (E/R), Sept. 03, GNA – Mr Seth Adjei-Baah, Member of Parliament for Nkawkaw, has called for peace and unity among all Muslims to ensure development in their communities.

He said the stability and development in the country was due to the peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by the government and so it could initiate pragmatic policies and programs for the benefit of the country.

Mr Adjei-Baah said this when he addressed Muslims and members of the Amadiyah Muslims Mission at Nkawkaw to mark the Eid-Ul Fitr festival.

He said there could be no development in the communities without peace and cooperation and advised them to refrain from disrupting the peace being enjoyed in the country.

The Kwahu West Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Alex Somuah Obeng, commended Muslims for the successful Ramadan and urged them to pray for peace in the country during the coming general elections.

Mr Haruna Ofosu, Nkawkaw Circuit President of the Amadiyah Muslims Mission, thanked the Assembly for rehabilitating the road leading to the Amadiyah Muslims Mission and basic school.
