Minister for MLGRD and Environments visits Breman Asikuma

Breman Asikuma (C/R), July 15, GNA - Mr Stephen Asamoah Boating, Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Environment on Wednesday paid a working visit to the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District, as part of his familiarisation tour in the Central Region. He interacted with assembly members, heads of department, opinion leaders, and chiefs and people of Breman Asikuma.

Mr Asamoah Boateng said, the country had reached a stage, where the citizenry must think positively about things that would enhance unity, peace and development and stressed that they should not leave room for detractors to disturb the peace, currently prevailing in the district. He, therefore, called for collaboration and cooperation for development projects to go on and promised 100 bags of cement for the construction of a proposed senior secondary school at Breman Brakwa. He assured them of a construction of a culvert on river Sieya, which link Bedum and Breman Asikuma also liaise with other stakeholders to assist in the completion of Breman Ayipay road, linking the main road to Asikuma, which the community had started with their resources.

Earlier in the day, he inspected the Information Communication Technology centre under construction and chilly pepper farms in the district and advised the farmers to support the project to improve the socio-economic development of the area.
