Management of Bogoso Golden Hotel assists three institutions

Bogoso(W/R), March 19, GNA - The management of Bogoso Golden Hotel has presented cash and items worth 21.5 million cedis to three institutions at Bogoso. They were Bogoso Catholic School that received five million cedis, Bogoso/Prestea Mines Stars 10 million cedis and a 6.5 million cedis washing machine for Bogoso Health Centre. Nana Richard Hagan, Chief Executive Officer of Bogoso Golden Hotel, making the presentation at the weekend, said it was their social responsibility for 2006 and included assistance to education, health and sports.

He said the company in addition, supplied potable water to the public through standpipes within its environs. Nana Hagan said the management had contributed immensely to reduce employment in the area, honoured their tax liabilities and promoted tourism for national development. He said they had employed 31 permanent staff, 15 as contractors and provided decent accommodation to the travelling public and paid more than 500 million cedis for Value Added Tax (VAT) to government over the past three years. Nana Hagan said 91.7 million cedis was paid as income tax to government in 2006. Reverend Father Charles Farkye Local Preacher of Bogoso Catholic Church on behalf of the beneficiary institutions expressed appreciation to the management for the gesture. 19 March 07
