Mac-Tetteh constructs major library for pupils

The Mac-Tetteh Preparatory School at Dzodze in the Ketu North District of the Volta Region is constructing a Gh¢56,000.00 library to help improve education in the area.

The school is also furnishing a computer laboratory for its 360 pupils and rehabilitating a boarding house with funds from the school’s bankers and Internally Generated Fund (IGF).

Mr. Stephen K. Tetteh, Proprietor of the school, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Dzodze, in an interview that, the facilities would provide decent accommodation for learning.

He appealed to the VALCO Trust and GET-Fund to assist the school with a bus to help convey pupils from the adjoining towns and villages to school.

According to him, the provision of better school structure and other facilities for the education of the children of fishermen and farmers remained one of the key activities towards rural development for the Mac-Tetteh Preparatory School in the Volta Region.

Mr. Tetteh said that the school’s moral educational programmes were designed to instill in its pupils the values of truth, love, good and conduct to enable them to grow up as patriotic and responsible citizens.

The Proprietor pledged the continued commitment of the authorities of the school to the development of high academic and moral standards without compromise.

He noted that the active involvement of parents would complement and make the class teachers’ work easier and more fulfilling.
