MP donates computer to Police

Jasikan, April 24, GNA- Mr Emil Brantuo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Buem constituency in the Jasikan District last Friday donated a computer and its accessories to the Jasikan District Police Command. The items worth 14.4 million cedis were purchased from the MPs common fund.

Mr Brantuo said he was touched by an appeal by the Police to the Jasikan District Assembly for a typewriter and decided instead to donate the computer to enhance their operation in the area.

Mr Brantuo also extended potable water to the Police barracks at Jasikan and appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to provide a permanent residential accommodation for the personnel. Receiving the items, Chief Superintendent, Mr Stephen Anyan expressed sincere gratitude to the MP and hoped others would emulate him. Mr Omar Amadu Dabou, Jasikan District Co-ordinating Director, commended Mr Brantuo for the gesture.

Meanwhile, Mr Brantuo has provided eight schools in the constituency with 250 dual-desks at a cost of 50 million cedis.
