By: Saaka Alhassan, Bunbong-Nayili

The Deputy Women's Organizer of the New Patriotic Party in the Northern Hajia Safia Mohammed has alleged that most young men and women who have graduated from various tertiary institutions in the country have resorted to prostitution and arm robbery to survive because of lack of jobs.

She said the large numbers of graduates that are churn out from various university are loitering around helplessly with their files without jobs and have to resort to all manner of scams to survive.

She said the prayer of every parent is to invest into his/her ward's education to be self-sufficient but not to be a liability after graduation.

Hajia Safia speaking at a gathering of women's groups at Bonbong Nayili in the Yendi Constituency advised the women to look at the current situation and if they are fine with it then they should vote the NDC but if they are not satisfied then the time for change is here.

She appealed to women in the Northern Region not to exchange the future of their children with Magi cubes and pieces of wax cloths the NDC would offer for their votes in the November polls.

She alleged that that NDC was waiting for the eve of the November elections to distribute cloths matches among others in exchange for their votes.

According to her, in the past the people of the northern region were known for their hospitality but that has changed because the people themselves cannot survive not talk of being there for others.

"People have dodge their love ones and relatives when they want to pay them a visit as a result of the current hardship the people of the region are experiencing under NDC government" Hajia Safia said.
