Kraboa Coaltar chief invites citizens home to register

Coaltar (E/R) March 18 GNA - Nana Awuku I, Nkosuohene of Kraboa Coaltar in the Suhum District, has urged citizens of the area living elsewhere to come home and register in the district to give a true picture of the population of the area.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Coaltar on Wednesday, Nana Awuku also urged the youth to encourage all eligible voters to turn up and register to enable the government to assess the population of the area.

He said the distribution of the nation's resources for the development of every district depended largely on the population of each area. "That is why all citizens need to register in the district to attract development to the people."

Nana Awuku also appealed to the Electoral Commission (EC) to revert to the old electoral name "Kraboa Coaltar Constituency" instead of the present name Ayensuano Constituency.
