Kofiase 'Kroye Kuo' donates computers to community

Kofiase (Ash), Jan. 28, GNA- The Kofiase 'Kroye Kuo', a benevolent association of citizens of Kofiase resident in the United Kingdom, has donated 24 pieces of computers and accessories, as well as assorted books valued at 13,000 pounds to the Kofiase community library in the Sekyere West district of Ashanti.

The association also donated 45 pieces of overalls estimated at five million cedis to the local neighbourhood watch committee. Presenting the items to the community on Tuesday, Nana Amponsah Gyasi, chairman of the association, said the group was also renovating the Local Authority Junior Secondary School (JSS) block at a cost of five million cedis.

He said the association had already donated school uniforms, jerseys and books to the community and appealed to parents in the town to take keen interest in the education of their children.

Nana Gyasi also urged the people to encourage their relatives abroad to join the association to enable them to contribute to the development of the town.

Nana Gyasi Henewaah II, Queen Mother of Kofiase, who received the items, thanked the association for the gesture.

She said the donation was an ample demonstration of love and patriotism of the members of the association and urged them to continue to assist the people of the town.
