IMANI Ghana expands its reach to francophone Africa

The well celebrated Ghanaian think tank IMANI Center for Policy and Education has expanded its work to other francophone African countries.

IMANI is a think tank, educating society on the benefits of a free economy and policy issues concerning business, government and civil society. Its mission is to advance freedom and prosperity across all societies.

As stated on their francophone website, “IMANI would like to ensure francophone Africa is incorporated into the debates of liberty, business development and prosperity of the African continent”.

Information available on the website indicates that they will be focusing on the 15 countries making up the Ecowas sub-region, with a particular attention on countries like Togo, Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Guinea, Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso.

The think tank has enjoyed relatively high rankings in the Global Go to Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program organized annually by the University of Pennsylvania. For instance, in 2013, IMANI was ranked the most influential think tank in Ghana and fourth in the sub-region. It [Imani] will hope to draw once again global attention for this step it has taken.
