High charges for accommodation at Wassa Akropong

Tarkwa (W/R), April 15, GNA - The Acting Director of Health Services for Wassa Amenfi East District, Mrs. Mary Magdalene Authur, has appealed to landlords and landladies in the Wassa Amenfi East District to reduce rent charges for nurses. She told journalists that most of the nurses transferred to the district do not stay long because of accommodation problems. She said at the moment the Wassa Akropong Hospital does not have bungalows to accommodate nurses hence nurses have secure private accommodation. Mrs. Authur said because of the perception that nurses earn high salaries landladies and landlords charge high rents and appealed to them to reduce rent charges to attract nurses to the district.
