Gov’t must implement policies without fear or favour- PUSAG

The Private Universities Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG) has urged government to implement policies effectively, without fear or favour.

The student group also advised residents to stop erecting structures and dumping refuse on water channels so as to prevent flooding in their vicinity.

PUSAG in a statement jointly signed by Mr Mohammed Adams Sakparu, President and Mr Raphael Apetorgbor, Public Relations Officer, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, called on authorities to deal strictly with residents who flout by-laws.

Their comments come after the June 3 twin disaster in Accra.

PUSAG also urged government and benevolent organizations to assist the flood victims in the city.

They further encouraged citizens to observe the national sanitation day, and also keep clean and healthy environments.

The association expressed its sympathies to the families of those killed in the floods.
