Ghanaians urged to impact society with what they acquire

The Vicar General of the Tamale Archdiocese of the Catholic Church Rev. Fr Mathew Yitiereh is urging Ghanaians to use what they acquire to impact the lives of individuals in the society.

Rev Fr Yitiereh believes investing to impact the society is God’s work and must be encouraged and emulated by persons who are responsible in societies especially deprived ones.

He stated that education is the lifelong gift one could give to the society to enhance their livelihood as well as enlightened them.

Rev. Fr Mathew Yitiereh was speaking at the Inauguration ceremony of Modern Star Orphanage International School, one of the leading educational institutions in the Northern region at the weekend.

Modern Star Orphanage International School inaugurated its ultra modern campus to commence the operation of Junior High School and Senior High School at Datoyili.

The Vicar General of the Tamale Archdiocese commended the proprietor of the school for the bold initiative to set up the school to transform the lives of the less privilege in the society.

He is optimistic that the school will be a top model school in the near future.

The project, worth over thousands of Ghana cedis has an administration block, dormitories for both male and female students, dining hall, classrooms, an ICT laboratory, assembly hall among others auxiliary facilities.

Modern Star Orphanage International School was initially established in 1999 to provide free basic education to the orphan girl child in the Northern Region.

The vision of the school was to salvage vulnerable female children especially the orphan from domestic slavery through fostering with relatives.

The school will start its first batches for both the Junior High School and School High School in the 2015/2016 academic year.

The school in the interim will run only four courses; Science, General Arts, Technical course and Business as well as vocational skills such as fashion and designing.

Aside the usual educational, the school will be a cradle for morals education to imbibe in students the best moral standard of the society.
