Ghanaians advised to disabuse their minds of harassment

Kumasi, March 12, GNA- Ghanaians have been advised not to entertain any harassments from any quarter during the voters registration exercise and turn out to register when the exercise takes off next week.

Togbe S.K. Fugah, Chairman of the Voltarians Co-ordinating Committee (VCC), said nobody or group of persons have the authority to stop any Ghanaian who is eligible from registering as a voter.

Togbe Fugah was inaugurating a five-member committee formed by the VCC and charged with the responsibility of holding of the "Eweza" festival in October at Anloga in Kumasi on Thursday.

The festival, which is a cultural activity of people of the Volta region descent, will showcase various cultural displays, drumming and dancing and also involve an exhibition of indigenous products and foods of the area.

Togbe Fugah stressed that in view of the importance of the registration exercise, it was crucial that all eligible Ghanaians sacrifice time to register.
