German Surgeons to Offer Free Service in Kwahu

Mpraeso (Eastern Region) -- A team of plastic surgeons from Germany will soon visit the Kwahu Government Hospital at Atibie in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region during June and July this year to carry out free plastic surgeries for those in need of such services.

The team will provide their own equipment and instruments, drugs and their own generating sets so that they can carry out their mission within the limited time at their disposal without hindrance.

The Mpraesohene, Nana Ampadu Daaduam II who recently visited Germany, disclosed this.

He said, a certain Kwahu citizen, Miss Rose Boateng, is the one arranging for the team's visit.

He further stated that the team, known as Interplast-Germany, would need the permission of the Ministry of Health, and exemption from all duties, levies and others on their equipment and drugs from the Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) to enable them assist those in need of plastic surgery free of charge.

He urged the general public who need such services to enquire from the hospital's authorities during the period between June and July this year, and take advantage.

He also appealed to the authorities concerned to assist the team to enable them accomplish their intended laudable mission in Ghana.
