Fifteen-member Ghana@50 Planning Committee inaugurated at Nkawie

Nkawie (Ash), Jan. 29, GNA - A 15-member Planning Committee for Ghana@50 jubilee celebration in the Atwima-Nwabiagya district has been inaugurated at Nkawie.

Mr Thomas Ofori-Donkor, the District Chief Executive, who performed the ceremony, urged the members to contribute their quota towards ensuring a very befitting celebration in the district. He appealed to the people of the district, especially traditional rulers to release enough land for the establishment of woodlot nursery to facilitate the greening Ghana programme as part of the celebrations. Mr Ofori-Donkor said there is absolute need for every patriotic citizen of the district to show love for Atwima-Nwabiagya.

The DCE also urged youth groups, religious and transport organisations to collaborate with the district assembly and mobilise their members at all times for a successful year-long golden jubilee celebrations. The committee has the DCE as chairman.
