Effutu Assembly approves GH¢1.14 million supplementary budget

Winneba (C/R), May 14, GNA - The Effutu Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, approved its District Assembly Common fund (DACF) supplementary budget of GH¢1,136,497.95 for this year. Under the budget, a number of on-going projects would be completed, in addition to undertaking new ones to improve the living standard of the people in the area. The Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Robert Andres Ekow Ghunney addressing the Assembly said on-going projects to benefit from the budget included the completion of a three-storey office complex and the construction of a two-Storey residential building. He said water and electricity would also be extended to deprived communities as well as rehabilitate road networks in the area.

The Presiding Member of the Assembly, Mr Alexander Afenyo-Markin called for the judicious use of the contingency fund and appealed to various sub-committees of the Assembly to monitor closely funds for development projects.
