E/R: Man commits suicide

An unidentified man has committed suicide at Asamanketewa, a village in the Akuapem North District.

The deceased, believed to be in his 40’s, hanged himself to death on a tree in the predominantly farming community in the Eastern Region.

The reason(s) for committing the suicide is not immediately known.

The incident, according to eyewitnesses, community sources, happened on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at about 7:30pm.

He died on the tree well dressed with a pair of shoes to match.

Residents say the deceased is not known in the community.

His mortal remains have since been conveyed to the Koforidua Government Hospital morgue by the Police.

Families with missing persons are therefore advised to report to the Nkurakan Police Station for identification and collection.

Investigations into the matter, Kasapafmonline.com learnt, are ongoing.
