Drivers urged not to allow politics to divide them

Kasoa (C/R), June 22, GNA - The Central Regional Chairman of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Mr Kwame Kumah, has urged members not to allow politics to divide.

He said the Union is a Non-Governmental Organisation, whose constitution permits them to support and rally behind only the government of the day to achieve its programmes.

Mr Kuma was inaugurating executives for four branches at separate ceremonies at Kasoa.

The branches were Kasoa Number One, Adam Nana, Kasoa Taxi Rank and Liberty.

Mr Kuma called for unity and hard work among members irrespective of their political and tribal affiliations, towards the building of a strong transport sector.

Mr Kuma advised the executives to resolve problems in the branches and work in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Union.
