Don’t abuse Ghanaian hospitality –Maulvi Noor

The East Central Regional Missionary of the Alhmadiyya Muslim Mission, Maulvi Muhammad Ehsan Noor, has urged foreigners resident in Ghana not to take advantage of the hospitality of Ghanaians to flout the laws of the country.

He said there was the need for foreigners to be law-abiding citizens, be it a business man or missionary rather than using free movement of persons and other privileges to cheat the people of Ghana.

Maulvi Noor made the call when he addressed members of the Alhmadiyya Muslims to mark their month-long Ramadan at Gomoa Mangoase.

He called on Muslims to follow the teachings of Islam, adding that Islam stands for peace and not terror as being perceived by some people worldwide.

Maulvi Noor said the Alhmadiyya Muslim Mission Headquarters in Accra created another Regional Missionary seat at Gomoa Mangoase from Cape Coast to help propagate the good news of Islam.

Nana Musa Gyedu, Gomoa Mangoase Local President of Alhmadiyya Muslim Mission, said the Mission had acquired land for the construction of a school from KG to Junior High School.

He said the National Headquarters of the Mission had promised to release funds for the construction of the project to ensure quality education for children at Mangoase and its environs.

Nana Musa Gyedu cautioned Muslim youth to refrain from attending dance, and besieging entertainment centres after the Ramadan period.

At Agona Swedru, Alhaji Bashiru Omar, Chief of Yarewa Zongo, appealed to Muslim youth to desist from violent acts which dent the image of Islam.

He urged the youth to stay away from illicit acts such as drug abuse and other social vices which militated against the well-being of Islam.

At Mankron-Junction, Alhaji Ibrahim Jabiru urged Muslims to refrain from illegal activities that tarnished the image of Islam.
