Coronavirus: Dominica’s Foundation donates to Apam Orphanage Home

A Non-governmental organization (NGO), Dominica’s Foundation has donated COVID-19 relief items such food and toiletries worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Apam Orphanage Home.

Some of the items donated are food, cartons of drinks, bags of rice, oil, toilet rolls, soaps and an undisclosed amount of money.

Executive Director of the foundation, Miss. Dominica Nana Esi Amankonah stated that, the donation was part of their responsibility towards the less privilege and society as a whole especially in the period of COVID-19.

Miss Dominica added that, the donation was done to help the wellbeing and ease the difficulty on the children in this challenging time to battle the pandemic.

“These are challenging times, COVID-19 has brought hardship to many especially the less privilege and as a foundation, we deem it necessary to extend a helping hand to ease the difficulty on these children as we battle this deadly disease,” Miss Amankonah said.

She further presented an undisclosed amount of money to be used for drugs and other needs of the children during this season of COVID-19.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Director, Mr. Daniel Obimpe on behalf the orphanage home expressed their profound gratitude to the Foundation for their kind gesture and called on other NGO’s to emulate the act.

Mr. Obimpe extended his thanksgiving to the foundation and partners for
being thoughtful of the orphanage home during this difficult season of COVID-19.
