Chief commends government for providing vehicles to schools

Nkoranza (B/A), Dec. 10, GNA - Okatakyie Agyemang-Kudom IV, Omanhene of Nkoranza Traditional Area has commended the government for providing vehicles to second cycle institutions and the education directorate in the district. The chief made the commendation when Mr Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, District Director of Education introduced three Mahindra Pick-up vehicles allocated to some senior high schools in the district. The beneficiaries are Busunya Senior High, Nkoranza Technical Institute and Nkoranza Senior High schools.

Okatakyie Agyemang-Kudom IV expressed appreciation for the efforts of the government in the development of the area and called on management of the institutions to ensure the regular maintenance of the vehicles. He cautioned drivers of the vehicles against over speeding and unnecessary overtaking and called for the minimal use of the vehicles for social events. Mr Agyemang-Badu assured the Omanhene that the directorate would monitor and ensure that the vehicles were used judiciously. 10 Dec. 08
