Old Students of Central University puts smiles on the faces of Echoing Village Orphans.

The 2010 old students of Central University College during the Easter Holidays put smiles on the faces of over 100 orphans at Echoing Hill Village when they donated items worth 7,000 Ghana cedis to the orphanage home. The beneficiaries received items such as, bags of Rice, books, clothing, sachet of water and older goodies.

Speaking for the old students from Central University, Russel Kwame Wiafe, said this donations forms part of their social coperate responsibility to help the needy in the society.

“This is our third time donating to the Orphanage, we think that we have to help the needy in our various societies, we don’t see them as orphans, they are all part of us, people traveled to other places to have fun and be with their family during the Easter Holidays, but we decided to come here and donate these items to them and put smiles on their faces during the festivities.

“We are a group of individuals from central University, we contributed our small quota together just to support, we have promised them that we will come back in December to help them and organize a very big party for them as well, On behalf of the Orphans, Reverend Lawrence Lamina thanked the Old Students from Central University for their kind gesture.

“It’s always refreshing when somebody or a big institution comes to donate, but these are from individuals who have taken this as their assignment just to help us, all that we can say is that, may the good Lord Almighty bless them abundantly and help them in whatever they are doing so that they will come back with more, we always appeal to coperate bodies to come to our aid but if you people have done this all we can say is thank you”
