Catholic Bishop calls on Christians to register in numbers

Kumasi, March 11, GNA- The Most Reverend Gabriel Justice Anokye, Catholic Bishop of the Kumasi Metropolitan Archdiocese, has added his voice to the call on Christians to ensure that they register in their numbers during the forthcoming voters registration exercise. He reminded them that it was only through that they could exercise their franchise.

The Most Reverend Anokye made the call when the Very Reverend Father Philip Opoku Nyame, Parish Priest of the Saint Paul's Catholic Church at Amakom, led the Executive of the Parish to congratulate him on his elevation to his new position.

The Bishop pointed out that it was not against Christianity to engage in politics.

He therefore asked Christians to get actively involved in politics and to contest for elective positions for which they are qualified.
