Baptist Redemption School PTA donate Items to school

The Parent/Teacher Association (PTA) of the Baptist Redemption School in Cape Coast on Friday donated items worth 2,100 cedis to the school as a preventive measure against the spread of cholera.

The items include five Veronica buckets, five washbasins, 15 dustbins, eight plastic chairs, seven tables, and four white boards.

Mrs Vivian Brown, PTA Chairman who presented the items, said funds used for the purchase of the items were part of the PTA dues and urged parents to pay their children school fees on time.

She said the donation was to help prevent the spread of cholera in the school and urged the school authorities to ensure that the items were used for the intended purpose and not diverted for their personal use.

Mrs Brown appealed to the school children to take their studies seriously so that the investment their parents were making in them would not be in vain.

Mr William Addison, the Headmaster of the School who received the items, commended the PTA for the donation and said teaching and learning would be enhaced.

He said he was particularly happy that the PTA also cared about the teachers and purchased the white boards and plastic chairs for them and stressed that it would help boost the morale of the teachers since they initially used black boards and chalk and also did not have enough chairs in the staff common room.
