Management of Bayport Financial Services has contributed GHc4, 000.00 to the Dakpema Education Endowment Fund.

The financial institution is already sponsoring 70 students from basic to tertiary levels in the Northern Region.

By extension, it released the GHC4, 000.00 for the upkeep of brilliant but needy pupils financed by the Dakpema Education Endowment Fund.

The Fund was established by the Chief of Tamale, Naa Dakpema Alhassan Dawuni.
Managing Director of Bayport, Kofi Adu Mensah presented the cheque to Naa Dakpema Dawuni Alhassan at his palace.

He reiterated Bayport’s commitment to boost the human resource base of the Northern Region as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.

Mr. Mensah declared Bayport’s intention to collaborate with the chief to improve the socio-economic development of his people.

“We want to put on our agenda that from time to time we will contribute to it so that it will be a success: we want to align ourselves with him to achieve his goal.”

He said plans were afoot to open more branches in the Northern Region.
“We have at least six branches in the northern sector of the country: we have one in Tamale, Damongo and Yendi and we see it as an opportunity to establish the business here.”

“We have been in Tamale for over 10 years and very soon we are going to establish the micro sector of our business which is for the informal sector.”
He commended Bayport’s customers for keeping faith with it and assured them of juicy packages.

Naa Dakpema Dawuni Alhassan commended Bayport for the donation and promised that it would be used for the intended purpose.

He said the Fund Managers were competent technocrats who have excelled in their various fields.

Naa Dakpema called for enough support from organizations, corporate bodies and philanthropists.
