Auto Mechanic appears in court for inflicting wounds on rival

Sekondi, Nov. 20, GNA - Papa Hinson, a 39-year old auto mechanic in Takoradi on Thursday appeared before a Sekondi Magistrate court for causing unlawful harm.

The accused whose plea was not taken is to re-appear before the court on November 27 this year.

Prosecuting, Police Sergeant Andam Okyere said Hinson and his wife as well as the complainant, Moses Aidoo, a City Guard of the Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Assembly, lived at Nkontompo near Sekondi.

He said Hinson suspected his wife of having an affair with Aidoo and following frequent quarrels about the issue, the two separated and the wife went and stayed with her mother in the same area.

Sergeant Okyere said at about 2030 hours on November 18 this year, the accused saw the wife entering the room of the complainant.

He said Hinson followed the wife into the room and attacked the complainant who was in bed with a blade inflicting lacerations on his face, chest, stomach and hands.

Sergeant Hinson said the complainant was rushed to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital where he was admitted till the following day.
