Assin Atandasu outdoor queenmother

Nyankumase Ahenkro (R/R), June 4, GNA - Miss Florence Abena Dablah, a 35-year-old teacher and journalist has been outdoored as the new queen mother of Assin Atandasu traditional area under the stool name of Nana Abena Gyamfuwaa II.

Nana Gyamfuwaa, a product of National Nursery Teachers Training College and Vintage College of Arts and Broadcasting, succeeded her grand mother, Nana Ekua Anin II, who died about six years ago. She is currently the editor of Obahemaa magazine.

In her maiden speech at her out-dooring at Nyankomase Ahenkro in the Central Region the queen mother stated that her priority would be on education and health since they were the key to development. Nana Gyamfuwaa noted that it was education and good health that would bring the people out of abject poverty and pleaded with parents to support each other in giving quality education to their children. The queen mother called on the people to pay particular attention to environmental and personal cleanliness as many diseases were caused by unhygienic conditions. She advised them to register with the District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme to enable them to have access to health care delivery. 04 June 08
