Ashanti NPP Executives congratulated

The Youth Wing of the Obuasi Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated the newly elected Ashanti Regional Executives on their election to lead the party for another resounding victory in 2004.

"We want to congratulate the new Executives, especially Mr Fred Fredua Antoh and Mr Sam Cudjoe for retaining their positions as Chairman and Secretary, respectively".

In a congratulatory message jointly signed by Edward Gyimah, Secretary and Iddrisu Mohammed, Organiser, the Wing noted that the successful manner in which the elections were conducted showed the level of tolerance and the sense of democracy within the party.

The Youth, however, cautioned the Regional Leadership against any petty squabbles that might tend to divide the rank and file of the party.

The message urged the new executives to regularly visit the constituencies in the Region and solve problems they might come across so as to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

"We hope that through hard work and unity, the current officers would be able to capture all the seats in the Region for the NPP, come year 2004", the Wing said.

The Youth gave the assurance of their readiness to support the party to achieve total victory in the coming general election.

The message appealed to the followers of the party to exercise restraint in the event of any misunderstanding with the opposition since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was trying to use divide and rule tactics and false propaganda to divert peoples' attention from the good works of the ruling Party.

The Wing, however, advised the NDC to think of uniting its members so that it could provide vibrant opposition.
