Antwi-Adjeikrom community constructs teachers' quarters

Antwi-Adjeikrom (Ash), March 23, GNA - The people of Antwi-Adjeikrom near Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua district have embarked on the construction of an eight-bedroom teachers' quarters at the cost of one billion cedis.

The project is being funded through special levies of 15,000 cedis per male and 10,000 cedis per female and other voluntary contributions. Mr Bismark Obuobi, assemblyman for the area made this known when he led newsmen to inspect the project on Wednesday.

He said the completion of the project would motivate teachers to accept postings to the area and appealed to the people to pay their contributions promptly to ensure its early completion.

Mr Obuobi appealed to the district assembly to support the construction of a three-classroom block, office and store for the community being undertaken by the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi. 23 March 07
