“Allow The Law To Take Its Course”, Yammin Urges President Mills

The Ashanti regional Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), is urging the President, John Evans Atta Mills to allow the law to take its course and stop letting people who cast insults at him off the hook. Speaking from Norway to focus news, Joseph Yammin stated that the latest incident brings to three the number of verbal assaults the president has overlooked.

“This happens to be the third in a role; Nana Adarkwa, High Priest, and now John Kumah. The unfortunate thing is that they don’t even appreciate what the president did for them”, he said. He went ahead to take a swipe at Nana Akomea and Sir John for asking the president to call his ministers to order, asking “were they not part of the group of NPP guys who drove the former president to the gutters when they were in power as well as some of them calling the sitting president names that cannot be repeated; what did president kuffuor then say to them?”

He says the president is the number one citizen and must therefore be accorded the needed respect.

On the acquisition of the new jets, Mr. Yammin says the NPP should spare the nation “all the noise” adding that at least this transaction has been more transparent than what the NPP did when they were in power, adding that, “Opposition is not all about opposing government moves but constructive points to help the nation; it’s clear the NPP has no point on this matter”.
