Ahmadis mark Eid-ul-Fitr festival at Mankessim

Mankessim (C/R), Oct. 25, GNA - Osofo Abdul Majeed Mohammed, Mankessim Circuit Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission has urged members to let the spiritual exercise they had gone through during the Ramadan fasting to reflect in their lifestyles. "People should see us as "born again", he said when he led Ahamadis from Mankessim, Baifikrom, Enyan Apaa, and Enyanmaim in prayers to mark the Eid-ul-Fitr at Mankessim.

The Missionary urged members not to distance themselves from social and communal activities, which could promote their standard of living. Quoting from the Quoran, Osofo Majeed Mohammed said the Ramadan fasting was to attain righteousness and to build up members to shoulder the nation's responsibilities.

This, he said enjoins us to participate actively in the development of our communities and the nation as a whole. Mr Shaibu Asiedu, Circuit President, commended members for going through the Ramadan successfully.

He urged them to make the endurance to help them to withstand any evil forces, which would temp them.

Prayers were said for peace and prosperity of the nation. Osofo Mohammed Mustapha Appiah, a Missionary and Doctor in charge of Ahmadiyya Homeopathic Clinic at Mankessim led the Ahmadis in Saltpond in similar prayers.
