Acting Mankralo of Teshie Traditional Area introduced

Accra, May 2, GNA- The Nii Otswe We Council of Elders of Teshie Traditional Area on Sunday introduced Nii Adjei Dugba to the Council of Elders (Dzaase) of the Krobo Quarter as the acting Mankralo of Teshie. The occasion served as a platform to officially inform the general public about the death of Nii Adjei Otswemah Nmashie III, former Mankralo of Teshie, which occurred in March this year and also perform the traditional rites of the acting new Mankralo of the area. Three Schnapps which were presented to the Council of Elders (Dzaase) by the Nii Ostwe We Council were used to perform the rites for the acting Mankralo, According to the traditions of Teshie. Nii Adjei Dugba was nominated and appointed on April 21 and would act as Mankralo of Teshie until a substantive Mankralo of Teshie was enstooled.

Dennis Nii Adjei Otswemah was also introduced to assist the acting Mankralo. Ebenezer Nii Adzete Otinkorang, Head of Council of Elders thanked the people of Teshie for their conduct since the death of the former Mankralo and called on all councils to ensure that peace prevails when the nomination of the new Mankralo is due. Four people were nominated from the Council of Elders (Dzaase) and Nii Otswe We Council to visit the various clan houses in the Traditional Area to inform them about the introduction of Nii Adjei Dugba as the acting Mankralo and Dennis Nii Adjei Otswemah as the assist.
