A six-member SRC sworn into office

Abetifi(ER), April 24, GNA - A six-member Students' Representative Council (SRC) for Okwahu Campus of Presbyterian University College (PUC) has been sworn into office at Abetifi. It is the third SRC for the college.

Mr Amoh Osei, Registrar of the University, called on the executive committee to endeavour to promote peaceful co-existence between students and authorities. He called on executives of SRCs in tertiary institutions to ensure self discipline in order to enforce discipline on campus. "When SRC executives demonstrate high level of self discipline by obeying institution's regulations and ensure hard work, it would achieve its target during its tenure of office, "he added. Mr Osei said success of their administration would depend on the cooperation from the students and staff of the university. He therefore appealed to the students to offer the needed support and co-operation to them. Mr Osei who is also the Acting Principal of the College said the authorities would appreciate strong students administration to promote growth of the university to become a centre of academic excellence.

Mr Edward Quartey, SRC President, commended the students for the confidence reposed in them and called for their support and cooperation. He asked the students to come out with constructive criticisms, abide by the rules and regulations of the university to ensure discipline on campus.
