A businessman spends 7.1 million cedis yearly on teacher trainees

Abuakwa (Ash), Oct 28, GNA - Nana Kwaku Amoah, the Managing Director of OAU Hotel at Abuakwa in the Atwima District, spends about 7.2 million cedis yearly on students of Saint Louis Teacher Training College in Kumasi who do their teaching practice in the Atwima District. The assistance is in the form of free accommodation for the students at his hotel.

Briefing the Ghana News Agency on his assistance to the students, Nana Amoah said the offer of free accommodation to the teacher trainees is his contribution to the development of education in the district. He said this year, he has allocated 12 rooms to the students for their teaching practice and appealed to them to accept postings to the rural areas after the completion of their training.
