The 3rd edition of the West Africa Pharma Healthcare Exhibition has been unveiled in Accra, Ghana, aimed at bolstering the country's pharmaceutical industry.

Organized by Wegvoraus Exhibition, India, under the auspices of Ghana's Ministry of Health and Ministry of Trade and Industry, the event is slated for May 8th to 10th, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Center.

This exhibition serves as an ideal platform for Ghanaian and West African pharmaceutical and medical healthcare companies to forge connections with global suppliers. With a focus on the theme "E-Pharmacy and Digital Health," the event aims to explore innovative solutions to propel the industry forward.

Mr. Pharm Harrison Abutiate, Chairman of the Ghana National Chamber of Pharmacy, underscores the significance of government support for the pharmaceutical sector in reducing unemployment among Ghana's youth.

Abutiate highlights the need to address the country's reliance on imported pharmaceutical products, proposing the establishment of Pharma Parks across Ghana to attract investment and ensure investor security.

Thomas James, project director, emphasizes the event's agenda of seminars and conferences, focusing on ideas and innovations to benefit the Ghanaian pharmaceutical sector.

Mr. Anthony K. Ameka, CEO of FOAMEDDMS, underscores the growth and potential of the digital health sector in West Africa, stressing the importance of collaboration, regulatory frameworks, and digital literacy to maximize its benefits.

Investing in digital literacy programs, regulatory frameworks, and cybersecurity measures is essential to support the sustainable adoption of digital health initiatives in Ghana.

The exhibition offers a platform for stakeholders to discuss and explore opportunities for investment and innovation in Ghana's healthcare sector, particularly in digital health startups and technology infrastructure.
