Dr. Arthur Kennedy has stated that even though Nana Akufo-Addo claims there are a lot of party faithful calling on him to run again for president, there is even a greater number that want to see his back.
According to Dr Kennedy, “the contest for the flagbearership would be interesting. I think that while Nana Addo has a case for being retained, there is even better case for changing our candidate and depending on those who contest him, I expect that case to be made vigorously”.
He was speaking to Citi FM in reaction to assertions by the twice-defeated NPP presidential hopeful that his reason to avail himself again by running on the ticket of the party in 2016, stems from the fact that majority of the party members are clamoring for his return.
Dr Kennedy mentioned stressed that he is unconvinced by what many claim to be the loud majority because “the silent majority of Ghanaians will tell us what they want on voting day. They have told us twice and we should never take them for granted”.
