JJ Assures Akufo-Addo Of Full Support

It is final: Jerry John Rawlings, the Founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has decided to back Nana Akufo-Addo against the NDC’s Candidate, President John Dramani Mahama.
The Informer is reporting on exact authority that sometime around 2:00pm yesterday, NPP Flagbearer, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, visited the Ridge residence of Flt Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, where the Founder of the NDC gave the NPP flagbearer his blessings.
According to The Informer’s insider sources, Mr. Jerry John Rawlings told Nana Akufo-Addo that he (JJ), is not going to campaign for the NDC, and that all his recent appearances at NDC functions, is just a façade to fool the party.
Flt Lt. Rawlings is reported to have told Nana Akufo-Addo that, he and his wife will work hard to ensure that John Mahama NEVER becomes President of Ghana.
Rawlings, once again, did not hide his deep hatred for the late President Atta-Mills, and told Nana Addo that he has the potential of winning the election and must work hard to send the NDC into opposition.
“I know the NDP will not win the upcoming election. We are only interested in destroying the NDC and sending the party back to opposition, and I am assuring you that we will not relent in our effort to make sure that you win the elections”; Rawlings is reported to have told Akufo-Addo.
Indeed, Rawlings did not only assure Akufo-Addo of victory, but is reported to have given him a “To-Do” list to make sure he follows a certain roadmap when he becomes President.
On his part, Nana Akufo-Addo thanked Rawlings for his support and assured him that he will work hard to make sure that the dream of Rawlings seeing the NDC in opposition, comes true.
“I know that minus you, the NDC will not win any election that is why I have come to elicit your support so that together, we can work to ensure that John Mahama does not win the election”; Akufo-Addo is reported to have said.
It cannot be lost on readers that even before President Atta Mills left this world, Rawlings openly said that Akufo-Addo will be a better President than President Atta Mills.
The meeting between Jerry John Rawlings and Akufo-Addo just goes to confirm the fact that Rawlings is an integral part of his wife’s NDP agenda to do everything possible to make sure that the NDC loses the upcoming election.
“What Rawlings does not know, is that, he is not God. He cannot determine the destiny of the NDC and is only exposing his true character as an ungrateful person, and I know that he will end up in shame” a member of the United Cadre Front (UCF), told The Informer.
“If, after all the sacrifices we had made for JJ and his wife, this is how they want to pay us back, we will make sure that we win the election for the NDC, and after that, we shall deal ruthlessly with that wicked man and his wife”; the UCF man has added.
Also, a source close to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo has hinted that yesterday’s meeting in the open was just a show for the media.
He disclosed that Rawlings and Akufo-Addo had met secretly this week and to prevent a leakage, they decided to meet openly in the presence of the media.
He said that at the earlier secret meeting, Nana Akufo-Addo, was said to have gone on his knees to beg ex-President Rawlings to forgive him and the NPP government for withdrawing his diplomatic courtesies and privileges making him to carry his suitcase round the world.
“Rawlings also promised Nana Addo that he will never call him a dwarf again and pointed out that he will not campaign for the NDC this electioneering year, since his better-halve (Nana Konadu) will be leading the NDP in the upcoming December polls”, the source further hinted.
However, those of us at The Informer will like to advise Akufo-Addo not to waste his time in meeting Rawlings; and as well resources, if he had spent any; since Rawlings is completely of no use to the NDC as far as this year’s election is concerned.
