We are solidly behind President Mahama – Cadres

The National Cadre Corps of the 31st December Revolution has pledged their unflinching support for President John Dramani Mahama to win the December elections.

They said they would leave no stone unturned to seek unity of purpose, togetherness and harmony in the NDC for a resounding victory in December.

Mr Raphael Roger Beckley, National Chairman of the Forum of Cadres made the pledge in Tamale on Wednesday during a meeting with the Northern Region cadre corps.

The meeting was meant to galvanize support from all cadres to commit themselves towards winning more souls for the NDC to win the December polls convincingly.

Mr Beckley said the NDC was the only party born out of the spirit of comradeship, from whose “umbilical cord” true cadres could not afford to disassociate themselves.

“We are here to show our support and loyalty to President Mahama and will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that we chase every single vote so that NDC will have a one touch victory”, he assured.

He said the NDC was going to campaign on Unity, Peace and Harmony to ensure that the country remained peaceful and united after the elections so that Ghana would continue to be a beacon of hope on the African Continent.

Mr Beckley said President Mahama had gained a general acceptability within the electorate in the country and that victory for the NDC could be seen all over the country and advised all party members to remain focused and civil in the campaign so as not to mar the goodwill Ghanaians had for the President.

He said winning elections was like searching for gold, which needed perseverance, endurance and fortitude to gain from the long search and that with the NDC’s track record victory was assured.

He said some political opponents of the NDC were fanning the flames of disunity among the NDC when President Evans Atta Mills was alive, and that “for the first time some newspapers started to publish good things about former President Rawlings during June 4 celebration just to spur him on to condemn his own party.”

Some of the cadres from the Northern Region said there was a glimmer of hope for the NDC under the presidency of President Mahama and that they would do everything possible to ensure that political power did not slip from the NDC.
