Youth Committee to research into Nduom's Viability

Takoradi, June 29, GNA - Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, presidential Candidate of the Convention's Peoples Party (CPP) in the 2008 general elections, has commissioned a youth task force to research into his viability in contesting the 2012 general election.

This is in the wake of the abysmal performance by Dr. Nduom during the 2008 elections, despite the popularity associated with his name and campaign.

Mr Richard Nii Amarh, Spokesperson for the 13- member group, told the Ghana News Agency in Takoradi that, the research and exploratory works of the volunteers across the country would inform Dr. Nduom whether to contest in 2012 or not.

It would also help him in adopting the best of strategies and modalities should he contest the general elections in 2012. Mr Armarh was of the view that the alternating of only two parties did not augur well for the country's body politic and management of the economy.

"A change by voting Dr. Nduom into power will definitely do the trick for the economy of the nation", he added.

Mr Armarh said the exploratory team and volunteers would organize market and lorry station discussions, opinion polls, as well as, using the 93pknduom" page on facebook to interact, discuss and raise questions, as a way of finding out people real perception about Nduom's candidature.

He said the findings of the research after the nationwide tour would be the yardstick upon which he would contest the 2012 general election.
